Five things ive been doing this week other than preparing for friday fives:

1. Sunday was spent recovering from massive food poisoning at On the Boarder…the second and last time that place will ever ravage my stomach. (although they do have the best salsa…!)

2. Two hours were spent watching summer’s greatest reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance.”  Another hour or so was spent reminiscing on what i might have been, what could have been, and how i love dance in general.

3. Three hours were spent watching the final three hours of “LOST” until 2009 (sniffle, sniffle) and another hour or two was spent scouring the internet for any and all explanations to what I had witnessed.

4.  A huge chunk of time was spent with various friends thruout the week, and a small, teensy weensy bit of time was spent bickering with my husband (who is also a friend and is included in the huge chunk of time that was fun. too.)

5. Include a tremendously exasperating trip to walmart with both girls, several nights of cutting raw chicken for the grill followed by furious sanitization rituals in the kitchen out of fear of more food poisoning, and successfully mediating various shoving matches, fits, and whines of “MOOOMMM, SHE….”, and that was my week!

Genevieve Goings
is one of my favorite kid performers. Who is she? She is the fabulous train conductor on playhouse Disney’s Choo Choo Soul. Take a lookie and enjoy, even if you dont have kids.

To all the fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters serving in our military, and to those who have served in the past, thank you for protecting our freedom.

so, if you could have any five super powers, what would they be?

1- definitely flying
2-breathing underwater…I always dream I can breathe underwater
3-ability to jump to anywhere I wanted to be in the world…no more driving endless hours.
4-ability to eat whatever I want to without gaining weight!
5-hmmmm, maybe invisibility.

1. flying – go anywhere in the world, whenever you want
2. the ability to eat anything and always stay thin and never gain weight
3. the ability to snap my fingers or wiggle my nose and make things happen, like samantha
4. super human strength
5. super human healing powers to heal myself or others

i don’t think i’d ever want xray vision or mind reading, sometimes what you don’t know can’t hurt you! 🙂

1. i would like to blink my eyes and have a clean house.

2. i would like to touch my finger to a part of my body (or anyone’s for that matter) and slowly erase any signs of cellulite from the face of the earth.

3. i would like to snap and provide clean drinking water and nutritious food to anyone who needs it. (a clap could feed a whole country.)

4. I would like to have a heart of gold that did kind and lovely things to anyone I encountered, even the irritated check out lady.

5. I would like to double my bank account any time i sneezed…but not at the expense of others. And the doubled portion would always go to a worthwhile cause…

1. Ability to fly… For sure! I love heights.
2. Invisibility. Everyone wants to disapear sometimes.
3. Throw fire… Because that’s just cool.
4. Read minds. This might not be the best thing, but would be interesting at first.
5. Shape-shift. Fun stuff.

hello there! these poppies remind me somehow of people checking out the day. hope you have a fine one!

Lupe Fiasco feat. Jill Scott. Enjoy!

that beautiful picture posted below is the center of a sunflower. having never really focused on the center of one before, i found it a bit awe inspiring! so, in light of that new discovery, we have decided to call this batch of friday fives,

“if you werent what you are, what would you be?”

Hmmm…..this could go in a couple of directions so how about this. Here are some things I thought I might be when I grew up….

1. Artist
2. Actress
3: Advertising Agency/Glamorous Career Woman like Angela Bower on “Who’s the Boss” juggling work and home with style, grace and a touch of blonde.
4. Chef with my own cooking show
5. Mommy

1. some sort of sorter or organizer. i love to make piles and put things away (like laundry…yes.)
2. an assistant to someone famous. ive always had my heart on this one.
3. a writer, having started numerous projects that have never been finished.
4. a problem solver. not like math, but i like to figure things out (thus the infatuation with LOST!)
5. a dancer, my passion that has been put on hold for a time but i hope to rekindle the fire in only a short while.

1. a singer
2. a visionary
3. a real life artist
4. a cafe owner
5. a farmer

ok, those of you who consistently visit andrea’s flickr page are not allowed to play….but i find this photo just beautiful….any guesses what it might be?

A funny little ditty sent to us this week via email. Hope it makes your Monday a happy one!….
