Today my oldest daughter is celebrating her 5th birthday. We are gearing up for the party of the century on Saturday (she kindly invited EVERY child in her class before talking it over with mom and dad….) complete with pinata, princess gear, and, of course, plenty of sweets. Five years ago today I labored for 10 hours before submitting to a c-section just before midnight. Im a queasy kinda gal, not real fond of any sort of medical procedures, so I lay there singing “God of Wonder” to take my mind off of all the pulling and what not going on down below. Suddenly they held that baby girl up over the draping cloth and I succumbed to tears. And life has never been the same.

Yay for Lux! It was great getting to spend a bit of time with you guys earlier this week… Have fun at the princess party.
